Founded in 1999, BladeDancer Coaching and Consulting is a full-service coaching and communications development company.
Coaching services include professional, business, and personal whole life coaching for individuals and groups, including advanced coaching and training for experienced coaches.
Consulting services focus on helping organizations, businesses, and teams achieve more effective, cooperative, and efficient communications for greater creativity, innovation, inspiration, and productivity through the application of soundly applied coaching paradigms of communication. BladeDancer Coaching and Consulting is a pioneer in applying coaching principles to business communications success.
BladeDancer Coaching and Consulting founder, James Von Hendy, has been a coach since 1997, and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) since 1999. He is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), of which he has been a member since 1998. Since 1999 he has been a CTI faculty member, training coaches around the world in the Co-Active Coaching model. Currently his work for CTI is focused soley on the advanced coaching curriculum in the Certification program, where he is a Certification Program Leader, Supervisor, and Examiner.
James founded BladeDancer Coaching and Consulting in 1999 as a way to meld his wholehearted interests in whole life coaching, business coaching, technical communications, technical writing, and Internet technology into a productive professional services company that serves a talented, diverse clientele spread widely across the professional, artistic, and personal landscapes. His coaching clientele has included CEOs, executives, managers, entreprenuers, and business owners in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, as well as ministers, writers and visual artists, doctors, practictioners of alternative medicine, veterinarians, programmers, athletes, therapists, coaches, working mothers, retirees, and people in life and career transition.
Before becoming a coach, James worked for more than twenty years in the computer and high-tech industries where he was variously a technical writer, programmer, project lead, manager, and mentor for companies that included Borland, Frame Technology, Adobe, Netscape, and AOL. It was while working at these and other high-tech companies that James developed his keen awareness of and interest in building clear, effective, and coordinated communications within and between project teams. His work with BladeDancer Coaching and Consulting allows him to combine his business experience and insight with the power of coaching skills for effective business performance enhancement.
In addition to his work with BladeDancer Coching and Consulting, James is an accomplished published poet, a woodworker, and birdwatcher who has traveled extensively with his wife, Kelly, to many beautiful places in the world, including Costa Rica, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and many places within the United States. He and his wife live with their three cats in Ben Lomond, California, in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains, not far from Monterey Bay and the famously picaresque California coast.
